I've been prescribed 10Mg Lexapro for generalized anxiety disorder and mild to moderate depression. Does this med work? I've been on xanax for years when needed and it doesn't seem to work anymore because I don't want to become addicted to it because of increasing doses to higher levels. I'm an older guy and have lived with sometimes severe anxiety and depression all my life but lately it's getting worse. Genetics because of my dad has passed it onto me. The doc says I'll feel much better in about 30 to 60 days with counseling. Is the doc right? I need some relief.

Ok so here's my dilemma: I was prescribed Wellbutrin and have been taking it for about 3 months. I was on a college medical discount plan so it didn't cost much to see a doctor.
